  • This is available for those who are an imminent danger to themselves or others.
  • Can be admitted following an assessment by a counselor from the McHenry County Crisis Program, which may be done in any safe setting.

Mental Health Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs

  • These intensive programs are for those struggling with mental health issues that significantly impact daily functioning and put the individual at risk for inpatient care.
  • The programs provide nine to 25 hours per week of structured group and individual therapy sessions, depending on treatment recommendations. There is also an education group offered for family members of patients in the programs.
  • Patients may schedule an intake appointment by calling 800–765–9999.

Chemical Dependency Evaluations

  • May be ordered at the bedside by CPOE.
  • The evaluator gathers data obtained from the patient (and family members if appropriate) and the medical record on patient’s history of substance use and completes a comprehensive psychosocial assessment to make recommendations for treatment based on Patient Placement Criteria of ASAM (The American Society of Addiction Medicine). The evaluator utilizes strategies to engage patients in level of substance use treatment most appropriate and accessible.
  • Chemical dependency evaluations are also available as an outpatient. These assessments are conducted at the Centegra Specialty Hospital-Woodstock. Call the central intake department at 800–765–9999 to make and appointment.
