On July 11th Centegra Nursing received notice that their 2013 Magnet designation application document was accepted.
The application shares how the system provides nursing care for our patients, our community and each other. It It describes the processes we use to make decisions and allocate resources. Most importantly, it provides insight into Centegra’s unique culture of compassionate caring and reflects how we truly aim to serve with joyful spirits. This Magnet document reflects the richness and depth of Nursing at Centegra
The next step in our journey to Magnet designation will be a site visit by Magnet surveyors. We expect the visit to take place in October and to last less than one week. During the visit, surveyors will witness first-hand Centegra’s culture and how our dedicated Nurses incorporate evidence-based practices into the care we provide every day. They will be thoroughly examining our interdisciplinary approach to care while visiting multiple sites, so every Associate will play an important role.
Thank you to everyone who has helped lead Centegra down our journey to Magnet designation so far. The upcoming site visit is an important component of our Magnet application and is our chance to shine! We look forward to your continued support.

- April 1, 2013 – Document Submitted
- July 11, 2013 – Documented Accepted and site visit was granted.
- October 2013 – Site Visit will take place.
